DCA Member Advocacy Series - Grassroots Activism

Join DCA's Government Affairs Manager, Grayson Middleton, for our third virtual workshop of the DCA Member Advocacy Series. This workshop will focus on grassroots activism: what it is, why it's important, and when and how to use it to promote your cause. Sometimes the efforts of one person or organization aren't enough to make a change. Occasionally, testimonies, meetings, and follow-ups will still be insufficient in convincing key decision-makers. When that happens, it's sometimes necessary to organize and motivate others to join you in fighting for the change you want to see. In this workshop, we will discuss when/how to send template form letters, who to target, how to build coalitions, and how social media can be used to reach wider audiences. As a small group, the chicken community requires a collective voice to promote our interests. We hope you will join us on December 2nd for this informative event!
